About

Dasha’s work exists at the intersection of discipline and imagination, where martial philosophy meets modern storytelling, and where business strategy flows through the same principles that govern combat: timing, precision, adaptability, innovation, and honor.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition (specializing in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention), Dasha built her foundation in both narrative and physiology – understanding not only how stories move people, but how bodies do.
For over two and a half decades, she has trained and taught at the highest levels of martial arts. A black belt in Bruce Lee’s Jun Fan Gung Fu – Jeet Kune Do Concepts and Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Dan Inosanto, a black belt in Jeet Kune Do and Kali under Sifu Dan Anderson, and a brown belt in Gracie/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the Gracie lineage, Dasha was recognized as one of Black Belt Magazine’s 21st Century Martial Artists – the only woman elected within that class.
Her martial arts career expanded into community impact and corporate leadership. She co-owned Anderson’s Martial Arts Academy and help develop the online platform the University of Martial Arts, developed structured self-defense programs through her corporate wellness program called Impact Guro, and was named NY1’s New Yorker of the Week for her Women’s Self-Defense initiative.
From dojo to boardroom, Dasha translated martial principles into performance systems – leading seminars and workshops for organizations including Bloomberg, Apple, Nike, NYU, and others. She co-created the Corporate Self Defense Rapid Response Tactical Safety Program (CSD-RRTS), applying awareness, strategy, and decisive movement to leadership and crisis response. Her expertise in movement and performance led naturally into media.
Dasha developed and produced 36 home fitness and kettlebell training programs for her fitness brand Kettlebell Kickboxing and KBBody – several of which became bestsellers across major platforms. She authored “Kettlebell Kickboxing: Every Woman’s Guide to Getting Healthy, Strong & Sexy”(Skyhorse Publishing), founded the KBIA Instructor Certification Program (recognized by NSCA, AFAA, ACE, and CanfitPro), and certified hundreds of instructors globally. Simultaneously, she became a fitness and martial arts writer – publishing over 300 articles across leading platforms including Shape, SELF, Fitness Rx, Epoch Times, Black Belt Magazine, and more. She served as a contributing editor, consultant, and brand strategist, collaborating with companies such as Nike, lululemon, Victoria’s Secret Sport, Minsbody Green, Women’s Health, and others.
But story was always the through-line.
Her movement work brought her onto film sets – first preparing actors physically for roles, then advising on choreography and martial authenticity for directors including Ang Lee. She worked with performers connected to major studio productions including Woman Kind, helping translate physicality into character truth.
Eventually, the writing returned to center stage – but this time in story.
Dasha wrote and produced the narrative short film “PROMPT”, starring Tony Award-winning actor Dan Fogler. She wrote and produced additional narrative works including the short film “Juan Wick and the Case of the Stolen Chihuahua” and multiple feature-length screenplays development. She has written original scripts for international production entities, including Mediawan, and continues to build a slate of narrative feature films.
What appears multifaceted is, in truth, singular.
Everything Dasha builds – companies, scripts, training systems, partnerships – is rooted in the code of Bushido: discipline, integrity, adaptability, innovation, authenticity and heart. Her life’s work is about flow – between body and mind, between business and story, between vision and execution. She does not separate art from enterprise. She architects both.
